Laboratory Technician: Aaron Elmquist
Aaron has worked at Davis and Brown for 6 years and runs one of our most popular lab tests, Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD). BOD analysis is critical as companies have discharge limits for oxygen-consuming organisms into local surface waters. Aaron’s BOD test ensures that discharge over the specified limit is avoided, which maintains a healthy, oxygen-rich environment for aquatic plants and animals.
Aaron also runs our Chemical Oxygen Demand and Total Organic Carbon tests, and has added microwave digestion for metals analysis to the D&B toolbelt. When not running our 100+ weekly BOD samples, he enjoys running, birding, hockey, and spending time with his wife and three cute pups.
